Ringwood’s Ryerson students win Battle of the Books by David Zimmer
Congratulations Faith, Michael, Jack, and Monica! We’re incredibly proud of you. Many thanks to Mrs. Gay for her leadership and dedication!
RINGWOOD – Ryerson students recently conquered the county in a Battle of the Books.
The four-student team from the middle school punctuated its win in the 17-team New Jersey Association of School Librarians (NJASL) contest in Hawthorne last month with a perfect score, officials said.
The unblemished score card from Faith Morris Liu, Jack Burke, Michael Maglio and Monica Sperzel is not unprecedented, said Ryerson Middle School teacher Ellen Gay. It is, however, unusual.
Ringwood’s Hewitt School gets $6K in grants to buy books by Holly Stewart
Congratulations Hewitt! Shout out to Mrs. Camporeale and Mrs. Kirkegard for their hard work in applying for this grant.
“The good people of Ringwood passed a referendum to upgrade Hewitt School’s infrastructure,” Kirkegard said. “We look forward to adding to our library’s book collection through James Patterson’s generosity and getting the books into the hands of our students.”
